  • Muster Lists & Emergency Stations — Know your role (fire party, first aid, hose team).
  • Alarms — General emergency: 7 short + 1 long blast.
  • Detection — Smoke/heat detectors, automatic alarms in accommodation and machinery spaces.
  • Escape Routes — Clearly marked, illuminated, free of obstructions, protected by fire doors (A-class divisions).
  • Drills — Realistic, frequent — simulate smoke, blackout, casualty rescue.

Know fixed systems: Emergency fire pump, main fire pump, hydrants, hoses.
