Personal life-saving appliances are located in accordance with the LSA Code and shown on the ship’s fire and safety plans/LSA plans posted throughout the vessel.

Lifebuoys are distributed over the ship, particularly on each side of the bridge and near the stern.

Lifejackets are stored at accommodation spaces, muster stations, and work areas so they are immediately accessible.

Immersion suits and anti-exposure suits are kept at the same locations as lifejackets and also assigned to the rescue boat crew.

Thermal protective aids are stored inside survival craft.

All crew must know the exact location of these appliances from the posted plans.
