Each inflatable liferaft container must display clear and permanent markings containing important identification and operational information. These markings include:
- Manufacturer’s name or registered trademark.
- Serial number.
- Name of the approving authority and the maximum number of persons the liferaft is certified to carry.
- SOLAS approval marking.
- Type of emergency equipment pack contained inside.
- Date of the most recent service.
- Length of the painter line.
- Total packed weight of the liferaft if it exceeds 185 kilograms.
- Maximum permitted stowage height above the waterline.
- Launching instructions.
