Liferaft Launching Appliances
Liferaft launching appliances are designed to safely lower inflatable liferafts into the water while preventing accidental release during launching.
The launching appliance must incorporate an automatic release hook that prevents the liferaft from being released prematurely while it is being lowered. Once the liferaft becomes waterborne, the hook automatically releases it. The release mechanism must also be capable of operating while the liferaft remains under load to ensure safe deployment during emergency situations.
