Prevention of Poisoning

Prevention is always better than cure, and understanding safety procedures is essential when dealing with toxic substances. People working with dangerous goods must follow safety precautions strictly and be familiar with hazard labels. Protective equipment such as gloves, boots, aprons, and breathing apparatus should always be used where necessary and must be properly maintained. Adequate ventilation should be ensured in enclosed spaces, and gas detectors should be used before entry to confirm safety. In case of leakage or spillage, the substance should be neutralized, covered with sand, and disposed of safely. Storage areas should be kept clean and decontaminated when required, and toxic substances must never be stored near food items. Regular inspection of safety equipment is necessary to ensure readiness in emergencies.
