Skin contact
Toxic substances may affect the skin in two ways:
- direct contact causing irritation, redness, or burns;
- absorption through the skin causing general symptoms such as drowsiness, weakness, or unconsciousness (in rare cases).
Treatment
- Remove contaminated clothing and footwear immediately.
- Wash the affected area thoroughly with large amounts of lukewarm water for at least 10 minutes.
- Continue washing for an additional 10 minutes if contamination persists.
- Treat any burns appropriately.
- Seek RADIO MEDICAL ADVICE for severe burns.
