Skin contact
Toxic substances may affect the skin in two ways:

  • direct contact causing irritation, redness, or burns;
  • absorption through the skin causing general symptoms such as drowsiness, weakness, or unconsciousness (in rare cases).

Treatment

  • Remove contaminated clothing and footwear immediately.
  • Wash the affected area thoroughly with large amounts of lukewarm water for at least 10 minutes.
  • Continue washing for an additional 10 minutes if contamination persists.
  • Treat any burns appropriately.
  • Seek RADIO MEDICAL ADVICE for severe burns.
